How to install Chatavi on your phone (no Play Store needed)

Chatavi works in any mobile browser, but you can also add it to your home screen so it opens like a regular app: full screen, with its own icon, and without typing the address every time. There’s nothing to download from the Play Store or App Store, and it takes about ten seconds.

This is possible because Chatavi is a Progressive Web App (PWA): a website that your phone can install like an app.

On Android (Chrome)

Open Chatavi in Chrome.
Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
Tap Add to home screen or Install app (the wording depends on your Chrome version).
Confirm with Install or Add.

The Chatavi icon now appears on your home screen and in your app drawer. Some Android phones also show an “Install” banner at the bottom of the screen; tapping it does the same thing.

Other browsers such as Samsung Internet and Edge have a similar option in their menus, usually called “Add page to” → “Home screen” or “Add to phone”.

On iPhone and iPad (Safari)

Open Chatavi in Safari.
Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add in the top-right corner.

On recent iOS versions, some other browsers can add web apps to the home screen as well, but Safari is the most reliable.

Why install it?

One tap to start chatting, straight from your home screen.
Full screen, without the browser’s address bar, which leaves more room for the chat on small screens.
Light on storage. The installed app is tiny compared with a typical Play Store app, because it only keeps a few files for quick loading.
Always up to date. There are no updates to download; you always get the latest version.

Good to know

You still need an internet connection to chat. If you open Chatavi offline, you’ll see a friendly offline page until you reconnect.
Your chats are not saved on your phone or anywhere else. The installed app only remembers your nickname, interests and a random device ID, the same as the website. You can read exactly what happens to your messages.
Removing it is easy. Long-press the icon and choose Uninstall (Android) or Remove App → Delete from Home Screen (iPhone). To also clear the saved nickname and interests, clear the site data for Chatavi in your browser settings.
The same rules apply. The installed app is the same Chatavi, with the same Community Guidelines and safety features.

Having trouble?

No “Install” option on Android? Make sure you’re using Chrome and that the page has finished loading, then check the menu again.
Using an in-app browser? If you opened a Chatavi link inside Instagram, WhatsApp or another app, first tap “Open in browser”; in-app browsers usually can’t install web apps.
Keyboard covering the message box? Update your browser to the latest version. Chatavi resizes itself to fit above the keyboard on up-to-date browsers.
